Advancing human potential through conscious, relationship-based interactions with horses.
To expand human potential through experiential learning with horses, while caring for the well-being, dignity, and healing of the herd.
We are committed to a model of conscious horsemanship that supports growth for both humans and horses.
In an environment grounded in respect and reciprocity, people develop awareness, presence, and emotional intelligence, while horses receive care and experience safety.

At the Center for Conscious Horsemanship, every experience begins with awareness. Horses respond to the quality of our presence—our breathing, our energy, our intention—long before they respond to our actions. Conscious interaction invites humans to slow down, notice, and engage with horses in ways that are grounded, respectful, and emotionally coherent.

The Center’s work is rooted in non-dominant, conscious horsemanship. We do not ask horses to deliver outcomes on our behalf. Instead, we engage with them as sentient teachers whose boundaries, signals, and comfort direct the pace and depth of the experience. This protects their emotional and physical well-being and invites humans to interact with integrity and congruence.

Our herd is made entirely of rescues, each with their own history and needs. This creates a heightened responsibility: humans must meet them with attunement, clarity, and emotional regulation to ensure the work benefits the horses as much as the humans. Through this reciprocal model, the herd experiences safety, predictability, and respectful connection—conditions essential for their continued healing and ease.
The Center offers non-riding, experiential learning grounded in psychology, conscious horsemanship, and nature-based education.
Our work spans four pillars:
Education, Youth & Community
Leadership & Team-Building
Personal Development
Equine Well-Being & Stewardship
Each program is designed to foster awareness, communication, and connection while upholding the dignity and welfare of the horses who partner with us.
